Portal

The Portal was the main system for managing content, translations and also reporting. The Portal System was used throughout Aedgency and was accessed daily by all the different teams from marketing to translators. My first task in Aedgency was moving the portal system from php 4 to php5 which was a large task as I had to learn the whole system with no documentation within a couple of weeks and try to find out what was breaking the code which involved debugging the underlying classes such as the oracle database connection classes. I took charge of the Portal system from then on being the first point of contact for other developers in Aedgency for Portal questions. I continued debugging and adding new features to the Portal system my whole time in Aedgency such as a tool to update translations and a tool to show other programmers how 3rd party apps are implemented.
