Breeder
The Breeder project was a decision made by the senior programmers within Engrande to improve the existing codebase used by the Engrande30 websites. The problem with the existing codebase was that they where recreating the code for each new site so maintenance was a major problem for them, also the existing developer of the Engrande sites had left and had not passed on there knowledge to other programmers this made it difficult for them to make updates. The idea behind the Breeder project was to have one codebase and place all the text and code that changed into the database. Having this central codebase would mean that you would only need to update the code once when creating a new feature for the websites and make maintenance easier. The breeder project version 1 has been completed and was had been deployed successfuly for Berlin30 and Madrid30 when I left Engrande.
